Oskar Schlemmer's saw the human body as a new artistic medium in the 1920s. His experimentation with geometric forms and the polyhedric figure, as seen in the Triadisches Ballet have provided a constant source of inspiration for fashion and costume design. Sonia Biacchi founded the Centro Teatrale di Ricerca in 1982 to elaborate on the Bauhaus masters research, through her own experimentation in performance and costume. "Noise-silence, light-darkness, movement-stillness, sonorous and luminous volumes, interferences with video projections, voice-sound." This is the premise behind Biacchi's work.
